Choosing A Good Name

What should you choose? *

"A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold". (Prov. 22:1)

Whom should you seek to please? *

But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.
(1 Thessalonians 2:4)

How will others learn to glorify the Father in heaven? *

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
(Matthew 5:16)

Whose praise and commendation should we desire? *

His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. (Matthew 25:21)

What kind of people love the praise of men than the praise of God? *

Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
(John 12:42-43)

What would you do if you do things for God's sake and people will say bad things of you? *

Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
(Matthew 5:10-12)

Whom should you obey? *

Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. (Acts 5:29)

What must we do in order that our duties toward God will not be neglected? *

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
(Hebrews 10:25)
